影片以作者的真实经历为创作原型，取材于真实的案例。讲述了一对来自三线城市的北漂青年曾雯雯和鲁小力，历经拼搏并举两家之力才在北京立水桥北购得一套房产，不料惹上房产官司。他们在处理官司纠纷时，卷入一桩婚骗案，又遭遇时所罕见的汶川大地震。其间，两人迎来了各自的成长……。The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios.
