故事发生在东北某山区的老爷岭一带。日本在侵华的过程中，在此建造了一座化学武器库。日本军官畸田为了保护化学武器库，屠杀了整个靠山屯，小喜子等几个孩子侥幸脱线，加入了抗联队伍。其后，这些孩子多次寻找日军的化学武器库都失败了，但他们并不气馁不服输，终将日军的化学武器库给炸毁了。。该剧是根据宁津县已故作家郭澄清的著名长篇小说《大刀记》改编的。《大刀记》是我国唯一一部描绘鲁西北平原地区抗日战争的长篇小说，也是“文化大革命”时期出版并广泛流传至今的唯一一部抗日题材的文学作品，它体现的是“群众是真正的铜墙铁壁”。。Ainsley (Kelsey Gunn) is a misanthrope who hates people but when she suddenly finds herself in isolation with no one to talk to, she realizes how much she actually misses connection.
