影片是2015年推出的小黄人独立电影《小黄人大眼萌》的直接前传。作为《神偷奶爸》的衍生作品，讲述了小黄人们在“前格鲁”时代为其他主人服务的经历，不过少年格鲁曾经出现在这部衍生电影里，续集将围绕他与小黄人们结缘的过程展开。。大飞刀、小飞刀和二娘、风铃互相爱慕，但却相互斗气。大小飞刀以缉盗领赏为生，但总被两姐妹骗走战利品。富商曹员外出高价诱捕天下第一大盗九尾狐，并令四大死贼来绊住大小飞刀，以便自己能捷足先登。二娘、风铃不幸被九尾狐的妻子飞天猫擒拿，幸得大小飞刀相救，于是四人合力捉拿九尾狐，但终被诡计多端的九尾狐逃脱。。Set in 1895, the film follows friends Ed and Frank who become brutal enemies in Oklahoma frontier territory when a rivalry develops over a woman who is set to inherit a prominent saloon. After a bounty hunter makes Ed disappear to a tortuous prison run by a sinister warden, he must learn the ways of an outlaw from a prison-mate to escape and exact his revenge.。
