劳勃为追求自我，遇着放荡不羁的漂流生活，由于接获父亲中风的消息，遂驱车赶回老家华盛顿州，途中和志趣相投的潘摩结为好友，并发生了一连串趣事。返家后，劳勃和家人共叙陈年旧事，在探望完病中的老父后，又踏上了他那永无休止的旅途……。Two Belgian brass bands compete for the European title. One is Flemish (Sint-Cecilia), the other Walloon (En Avant). Sint Cecilia loses their soloist in dramatic circumstances and to ensure their participation in the contest they try to steal the very talented soloist from En Avant.
