But the story is much less important than the scenery : this movie intended to be a manifesto of the modern decorative arts.。皮格（希里安·墨菲 Cillian Murphy 饰）和茹特（伊莲·卡西迪 Elaine Cassidy 饰）是从小玩到大的青梅竹马的好友。两个特立独行的人仿佛生活在仅有他们两人存在的另外一个世界中似的，也只有他们彼此才能够理解对方的脑袋里究竟有着怎样的念头。 皮格的个性冲动而又狂躁，常常用暴力来释放心中的愤懑及不满，茹特默默的包容着他。皮格深深的爱恋着茹特，可是让他不能忍受的是，茹特竟然和另外一个男孩贴身热舞，愤怒的皮格深深的感受到了遭到背叛的痛苦，他疯狂的杀死了这个男孩。在海滩上，皮格和茹特激烈的拥有着彼此，最终，茹特杀死了终日生活在痛苦中的皮格。。
