The film tells the story of three people for a year: a son (Magimel) diagnosed with cancer, a mother (Deneuve) suffering from helplessness and a doctor (Cécile de France) to do her job: One year and four seasons for these three characters to deal with the disease, to tame it, and to understand what it means to die while alive.。22岁的瓦迪姆是一名音效师，在出发定居到加拿大前，他接到一份工作，录制各种动物的声音。其中一种非常稀有的鸟类只栖息在乌克兰的喀尔巴阡山脉，他不得不叫上开出租的母亲一起前往喀尔巴阡进行录制。母子二人的关系原本比较疏远，有较大的观念差异，但在这次旅途中，二人逐渐相互理解，并在之后开启了各自新的生活。该片曾获得2019年奥德萨国际电影节费比西奖。。
