While struggling with the death of her mother and the loss of a privileged life, a frustrated young woman attempts to reclaim her happiness which she believes is attached to a beloved unicorn paddleboat that her father was forced to sell to her nemesis.。The story follows an 18 year old working class lad who has his motorcycle stolen the day he buys it. He seeks the help of his scoundrel friends and notorious older brother to track it down before it’s gone forever. There is a strong moral theme examining the culture of the period, peer pressures and difficult individual choices.。故事发生在日寇统治下的伪满时期。常青（王丽坤 饰）是位爱国医生，她长期利用职务便利秘密帮助抗联筹措药品，这点连与她朝夕相处的丈夫定邦（于和伟 饰）也不知道。夫妻二人商量决定，离开满州去关内生活，恰在此时常青得知，敌人将有大批军火入境，她让定邦先走，自己则留下阻止，不明就里的定邦不明白常青单独留下的目的，心中很是疑虑。定邦原来在国军中是力主抗日派，他对国民党假抗日真剿共的意图看的越来越清，于是，在一次战斗中他诈死匿藏，后与常青结婚。由于夫妻俩互瞒身份，生活中常产生误解，但在得知妻子暗中一直帮助抗联后，夫妻二人的心真正靠在了一起......。
