From the moment they ship up as freshers at their shared house, their lives are destined to collide, overlap and run the whole gamut of appalling ...。本剧讲述了地处胡同深处的老酒馆内老板与食客们的故事，通过对十多个不同社会话题的探讨，以及富有生活智慧的酒馆老板视角，展现了生活在北京，形形色色食客们的百态人生。故事中的食客，他们年龄各异，经历不同，在大都市北京奋斗与生活中，虽然偶有磕绊，但都在酒馆中得到宽慰，重拾生活信心，并最终依靠自己的力量收获幸福，传达了人情温暖与人性美好。。本片為張徹與編劇倪匡，在1979年合作的功夫片，講述洪熙官(白彪飾)被投靠清廷之武林敗類高進忠(鹿峰飾)追殺，身受重傷，市井英雄朱才(孫建飾)、陳阿全(羅莽飾)、梁天寶(郭追飾)安排洪藏身於豆腐店中，並為他買藥治傷。高進忠探得洪藏身之處，暗囑手下廣佈眼線，以便將洪一舉成擒……。
